Boating Director

The Campus Recreation Director of Boating serves as the primary administrator for all aspects of the boating program at the City of Newport Beach's Marina Park facility. Duties assigned to this position include, but are not limited to the following: responsible for planning and developing and administering all aspects of the boating program including setting policies and procedures, developing and scheduling classes and events for sailing, kayaking and stand up paddling. Specific duties include: budget analysis; development and administration of programming areas; identifying, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff; developing course curriculum and teaching methods and standards; oversee maintenance, storage, purchasing and use of all sailing and boating equipment; assist with promoting and marketing classes and events; review and development of Risk Management plans; development of participant and staff instructional and training manuals. Additional duties include serving as the liaison to the City of Newport Beach collaborative Sailing program; assist in developing and managing a long term relationship with the City of Newport Beach as well as researching and developing other opportunities for UCI involvement in additional programs within the Newport Harbor.

Salary: Annual $49,226.00
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Weekend and evening hours required.
