The Human Resources department seeks a P/T HR Office Assistant who will provide clerical/administrative support to the HR staff and assist in ensuring coverage of the Human Resources front desk by answering & directing calls and receiving customers, ascertaining their business and directing them accordingly.  S/he will also assist with filing, written correspondence, and the preparation of employee-related orientations, events, and mailings.  Additional duties, as assigned.

Possession of a high school or equivalency diploma and three years of experience where the primary function of the position was performing general office/clerical work, two years of which must have included the use of computer applications to maintain automated records or produce correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, reports or other documents, are required.  HR experience strongly preferred.  Experience working within a confidential environment also preferred.  S/he must be able to handle busy, multi-lined phones and work independently.  Strong interpersonal skills are required.  The work schedule is Monday-Friday: 28 hours per week, flexibility required.  No benefits.
