Instructional Faculty and Associate Director, Office of International Education

Job description

The International Education Unit at the University of Georgia is seeking an Instructor of English History / Associate Director. This position is based at the UGA campus in Athens, Georgia, but will teach both in Athens and in Oxford, UK at the UGA Oxford Program. Duties include teaching courses in History, and departmental service and support as appropriate. This position is also expected to remain active in research and academic life at the University of Georgia.

 

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have strong academic credentials and an interest in excellence in teaching graduate and under-graduate levels. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in English History or a related field. Preferred qualifications include: PhD degree in a English History, preferably from a UK institution; one year of university-level teaching experience, preferably in the United Kingdom; one year of experience working in education abroad, and prior travel experience including familiarity with the U.K.
