Visiting Assistant Professor of German

Job description

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Lafayette College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of German for the academic year 2018-2019. We seek a generalist with expertise in an interdisciplinary field such as film and media studies who will teach German language and literature courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, and participate in extracurricular language/culture activities. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. Salary and benefits are very competitive.

Candidates should have native or near-native proficiency in German and English, training in second-language acquisition and related educational technologies, and experience teaching undergraduates. A Ph.D. is required; ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2018 will also be considered.
