Sport Management Professor

Job description

The Barton College School of Allied Health and Sport Studies invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in Sport Management at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Start date is August 2018.


Responsibilities include: commitment to quality undergraduate teaching, college and professional service, and student advisement. Ability to teach a range of courses in sport management including introductory and upper level courses such as Sport Marketing, Sport Finance, Sport Governance, Sport Law, and Facility and Event Management.


A Ph.D. in Sport Management is required. ABD with all degree requirements including dissertation defense by date of appointment will be considered. Candidates with one to two years of college-level teaching experience are preferred. Relevant industry experience with significant industry contacts is a plus.
