As a member of the Office of the President and President's Council, the Vice President for Student Life is a valuable contributor to the overall vision and direction of the university. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the VP for Student Life will lead the university in nurturing a community of disciples and scholars through a comprehensive and continuously evolving student development program encompassing all students served by the university (residential undergraduate, professional undergraduate at regional campuses, and graduate students in Azusa and the regional campuses). The Vice President will provide strategic senior leadership and vision to co-curricular efforts contributing to holistic student thriving, particularly in the areas of spiritual formation, community, diversity, and local and global engagement. Functional areas of oversight include: Chapel Programs, the Office of the Campus Pastors, the Center for Student Action, International Students and Scholars, Communiversity (Student Activities and Commuter Student Services), Housing, Residence Life, Orientation and Transitions, Title IX Coordinator, the Office of Women's Development, the Student Health Center, the University Counseling Center, and Grad and Professional Student Affairs.
- An earned doctorate in higher education or a related area.
- A minimum of 10 years of higher education experience with demonstrated advancement through supervisory and administrator roles.
