CLINICAL RESEARCH COORD A
Duties: The Brain Behavior Laboratory is recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator A to help investigators conduct behavioral and functional neuroimaging research in adolescents and adults with mood and psychotic disorders, as well as healthy individuals. Ongoing studies focus on normal and abnormal function of motivational circuits, and on application of functional neuroimaging to studying the brain effects of psychiatric medications. The position will draw on a wide range of skills and provide learning opportunities in diverse areas. Responsibilities will include assisting with: clinical assessment of psychiatric symptoms; recruiting, scheduling, and assessing subjects; acquisition of data for behavioral and functional MRI experiments; maintenance of regulatory documents and correspondence.
Qualifications: BA/BS and 1-3 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Superb interpersonal skills and an educational background in Neuroscience/Psychology or Biology/Premed is required. An interest in working directly with psychiatric patient populations is essential, and prior experience in this area is preferred. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations is desirable. While not required, proficiency with Unix/Linux and Macintosh operating systems is preferred. Above all, the applicant should demonstrate strong motivation and excellent organizational skills.
Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent upon funding.
