Works closely with the Chair for the Department of Special Education, Chair for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Experiences to assure teacher candidates have opportunity to experience high-quality, diverse P-12 educational settings that allow them to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to demonstrate positive impact on all P-12 students' learning. Primary duties include determining and completing placements for teacher education candidates into assigned partner districts and schools; collaborating with faculty, staff, and students in developing processes that promote effective student clinical experiences based on state requirements and available school sites for clinical experiences; and continually evaluating current placement processes and sites for continuous improvement. The position works under the direction of the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Experiences to coordinate placement activities. This position is part of the Office of Student Placement team within the Division of Teacher Education.
- Master's degree in education or a related field or equivalent education with K-12 education work experience.
- Three to five years of experience in K-12 education work or in higher education. Prior experience working with electronic assessment systems.
