Position Information


This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position anticipated to end on or before December 31, 2018, with the possibility of reappointment. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.

Under the supervision of the Director of Football Operations, this position serves as administrative support to the operations of the football program at San Diego State University. The incumbent will assist with football team travel, making travel arrangements, assisting with processing airline, hotel, and bus contracts, and will serve as the football business liaison with other departments.

Compensation and Benefits


Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $2,721 per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,539- $4,202 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Minimum Qualifications 

Completion of a high school program or its equivalent and some experience in an office environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills

  • Knowledge of Mountain West Conference and NCAA recruiting practices and regulations.
  • Two years of Division I football operations experience.
  • One year of customer service and public relations experience.
  • Two years of experience coordinating events.
  • Two years of experience working with a collegiate and/or professional football team.
  • Two years of experience with ACS, or other recruiting software program.
  • Two years of experience managing calendars.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team.
