Assistant Professor, Psychology
The Social Sciences department of Shawnee State University is seeking to fill an anticipated full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor faculty vacancy in psychology beginning August, 2018.
Responsibilities include: undergraduate advising and teaching introductory and upper-division psychology courses with a specialization in Clinical Psychology, including sections of abnormal psychology, child development and pathology, and counseling. Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in a related area of psychology, with preference given to candidates with previous teaching experience at the college level. ABD considered, but degree must be awarded by the beginning of fall 2018 term.
Shawnee State University is the regional state university for South-Central Ohio. It is a primarily undergraduate, four-year public university with limited graduate degree programs. Enrollment is approximately 4,000 students. Shawnee State is located on the Ohio River in Portsmouth, Ohio – a small city nestled in a beautiful, rural area of Southern Ohio.
