The department offers undergraduate degrees in elementary, middle grades, secondary, special education, and educational leadership. Graduate degrees currently offered include the Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education in Instruction, Education Masters and Specialist in Leadership.

The Department of Teaching and Leading at Augusta University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Literacy. The position will begin August 2018. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in literacy, supervising student field experiences, and providing service to the College of Education, the University, the community, and the profession.
Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in an education or related field, P-12 experience teaching literacy, and expertise in literacy education. Special preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of edTPA and teacher certification requirements. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in literacy, serving on department, college, and university committees, collaborating with school districts.
