Job description

Duties: The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Programs is a key member of the Athletic Director's executive team, providing advice and counsel in the management of the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics. The Senior Associate serves as the chief of intercollegiate programs, establishing policy, setting goals and ensuring a consistency across all 33 varsity programs. Further, the Senior Associate supervises all student development and sport performance programming and administrative functions for the intercollegiate programs. The Senior Associate manages the relationship with key campus functions such as admissions, financial aid, student services and student health. Direct supervision of several priority sports including Men's and Women's Basketball and Football and Associate Athletic Directors. Responsible for designing and implementing the Division's gender equity plan.

Qualifications: Masters Degree, preferably in Sports Administration, Recreation, Athletic/Recreation Administration, Physical Education, Business Administration and/or related field and 7 to 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in intercollegiate athletics (or higher education), student development and/or program development. Excellent oral & written communications skills. Previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
