Job description

Duties: The Student Records Office at Penn GSE maintains GSE student's academic records and provides services for students, faculty, and staff in the areas of academic policy, enrollment, course registration, and course information.

The Student Records Coordinator provides a high level of support to the GSE Registrar and community by overseeing day-to-day operations, providing training and
support to faculty and staff, maintaining and archiving student records and files, processing oral and final defense requests, performing graduation audits, assisting with classroom scheduling and maintenance of GSE website, providing verification letters for current and former students, participating in various aspects of the next generation systems project, and providing ongoing evaluation and suggestions for improvement of Student Records practices and procedures.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with Penn and/or understanding of a major research university and a graduate setting is preferred. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, and the ability to work under deadlines and long-term planning experience are critical skill sets for success in this position. Ability to identify areas of need and implement strategies for improvement, excellent customer service skills and attention to detail required. Experience with Penn s Student Records System (SRS), Banner, Business Objects (data warehouse), PennInTouch (PIT), CoursesInTouch (CIT) and AdvisorInTouch (AIT) preferred.
