To help support the work of the University we have an immediate opening for an Assistant Registrar.  The Assistant Registrar reports to the University Registrar.    

The Assistant Registrar is a member of the University Registrar’s team who serves as the office’s initial point of contact person for an assigned division.  Primary duties include:  adhering to applicable institutional, state and federal (FERPA) policies, administering the incomplete grade rollover process, assigning classroom space, collecting and producing the course schedule, coordinating the degree conferral application process, managing the degree audit process, monitoring and maintaining multiple office functions (grading, registration, responding to email, etc.), processing and scanning various students forms, providing customer service assistance to all constituents, utilizing and updating the operational and production calendars, validating degree completion, and other duties as assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Ensures the accuracy and efficiency of official student academic records by assisting with final grades processing, incomplete grade conversions, grade changes and other needed updates.
  2. Assigns and adjusts course classroom reservations and classroom event requests via classroom scheduling software.  
  3. Reports student enrollments and graduation to the National Student Clearinghouse via their FTP website.
  4. Processes various registration forms and stores the supporting documentation in the appropriate format.
  5. Other duties may be assigned within the scope of departmental responsibility by the University Registrar.



Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years related experience in higher education, preferably a Registrar’s Office.  Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office; significant knowledge of automated student record systems (preferably with CampusVue or similar student information system) is required.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of student academic records in relation to institutional, state, and federal (FERPA) guidelines.  Must be able to professionally interact with a variety of individuals, sometimes under the pressure of deadlines or other constraints.
