Boston University is seeking a Dean for the Questrom School of Business. The Dean provides academic, intellectual, and administrative leadership for the Questrom School of Business. The Dean will work with faculty and staff, University leadership, and deans of other Boston University schools and colleges to deliver Questrom’s undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA programs, to advance the international research reputation of the School, and to serve as ambassador for the School to potential donors, businesses, alumni, and students. The successful candidate will have a record of demonstrated success in academia or business, a passion for business education and research, and experience administering in a complex environment that includes promoting an inclusive environment that welcomes and values individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
The Questrom School of Business, which received a naming gift from Boston University trustee Allen Questrom (Questrom ’64) and Kelli Questrom in 2015, offers a BS in Business Administration, a full-time MBA, a Professional Evening MBA, an Executive MBA, several joint MBA programs, an MS in Mathematical Finance, an MS in Management Studies, as well as PhD programs in Mathematical Finance and Management Studies. The undergraduate program admits approximately 400 freshmen per year and graduates approximately 800 seniors, with additional students entering through intra-university or external transfers. The faculty consists of 89 tenured and tenure-track faculty, who both teach and conduct research, 55 full-time teaching faculty (lecturers), and 16 professional non-tenured faculty.
