Associate Program Director and Lecturer, Health Sciences
Job Summary: Roosevelt University's Department of Biological, Chemical, Physical, and Health Sciences (DBCPHS) seeks a non-tenure-track lecturer in Health Sciences to begin August 2018. This faculty member will teach in the Health Science Administration (HSA) program and will serve as associate director of the HSA Program, working with the Director to manage administrative aspects of the HSA and other health science programs within the department. Duties include undergraduate and, possibly, graduate teaching, field placement oversight, advisement of students, recruitment, and other duties related to program evaluation and oversight. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Teach courses in the DBCPHS, and in the HSA program in particular. * Assist the Director of Health Science Programs in program management. * Develop new and manage existing external partnerships with area clinics, hospitals, and community colleges. * Advise students and manage field placements. * Participate in department recruitment events. * Coordinate scheduling and staffing of HSA courses. * Assist the Director of Health Science Programs with program evaluation. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in health sciences, public health, biological or medical sciences, or related field.
