Position Summary: The Division of Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Department of Allied Health Sciences, UNC School of Medicine, invites applications for a faculty appointment. The Division of CLS offers a baccalaureate degree in CLS and a Master's Degree in CLS - Molecular Diagnostic Science track. Responsibilities include teaching on-line courses, on-campus courses, and coordination of clinical education courses. The faculty member will also be expected to participate in the service and research missions of the Division of CLS. Academic rank and appointment track for this faculty appointment will be dependent on education and qualifications.
Education Requirements: A Master's Degree (Ph.D preferred) or completion of degree prior to appointment and previous work experience in a clinical laboratory are required.
Qualification and Experience: Higher education teaching experience in the Clinical Laboratory Science field and evidence of scholarly excellence or potential are highly desirable. The candidate must have generalist certification [MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP)].
