Minimum Education/Experience: M.S.W. (Masters in Social Work) from a CSWE accredited School of Social Work; minimum of six years post-M.S.W. direct practice experience including three years of relevant supervisory and administrative experience; experience in field education or related area(s) of social work education, and relevant experience in providing training to practitioners. Field education supervision experience as a field instructor or field liaison is a plus. Experience with curriculum development and review. Excellent written and oral communication skills (Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with students, faculty, and agency personnel) Comprehensive knowledge and skills in social work supervision and field instruction. Excellent organization skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle large volume of communication with students and community partners Ability to handle large volume of data from students and community partners Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to use independent judgement, initiative and decision making in daily tasks Demonstrated leadership in establishing and sustaining community and academic collaborations Ease in working with technology, databases and online teaching platforms

Job Duties: Teaching The Field Education Coordinator/Teaching Instructor will have field education teaching responsibilities which address student attainment of social work competencies at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Service The Field Education Coordinator will serve on School and/or University committees as necessary, as well as in a professional capacity in their area of expertise, e.g., reviewer, committee member. Other (for instance administrative duties, etc.) Support the implementation of the vision and direction of field education Responsible for planning and coordinating field education meetings, events and orientations Responsible for developing surveys to evaluate field education events and orientation Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of up-to-date field databases and email lists Responsible for analyzing data from field surveys and creating field reports Responsible for coordinating with the BSW and MSW programs inclusion of field evaluation data in the assessment process Responsible for weekly supervision to interns in agencies needing supplemental supervision Oversee educational planning and problem resolution process for students experiencing difficulties in field performance. Distribute and oversee collection of field assessments for all students enrolled in field education courses. In collaboration with the Field Education faculty, develop and implement online and face to face educational forums for field instructors. Provide consultation to faculty liaisons in developing educational contracts for students who are experiencing difficulty in developing identified competencies. Responsible for overseeing the verification of field education for alumni Assist the Director of Field Education in processing and reviewing proposals to complete field education at the place of employment Assist the Assistant Director of Field Education with placement development for BSW and MSW students Assist the Assistant Director of Field Education with students' field placements Attend and participate in all field education events, meetings and orientations Attend committee meetings as assigned Other duties as assigned
