Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or six years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative experience including two years of administrative or office management experience involving substantial public contact, information gathering and writing. Experience in application and interpretation of EHRA recruitment, salary administration and/or employment policies with experience in personnel administration in a technical or administrative capacity.  The ability to create and maintain a spirit of cooperation, support and understanding for working and relating well to people with different backgrounds, cultures, education and environment. The following knowledge, skills and abilities are desired in this position: Strong administrative, time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and the ability meet various concurrent deadlines. Interpersonal articulateness and written as well as verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build effective communication with various networks internal and external to the School of Department. Knowledge of applicable federal (EEO), state (i.e., licensing), university (i.e., appointment requirements, benefits, credentialing and promotion/tenure), and school rules and regulations. Good problem solving abilities that foster confidence from peers and leadership. Ability to use variety of hardware and software (i.e.., word processing, relational database, spreadsheet downloads). Strong familiarity with reporting/compliance requirements for various personnel actions particularly as it relates to appointment and renewal of fixed-term faculty. Team oriented and able to exude confidence.

Job Duties: The Human Resource (HR) Office of the ECU School of Dental Medicine will be responsible for all employee related matters associated with the school. This position will serve as the EHRA Personnel Coordinator for the School of Dental Medicine. This position serves as the primary control point for new faculty appointments; all EHRA personnel actions are routed through this individual to maximize turnaround time, ensure compliance and produce overall faculty satisfaction. This position will be responsible for supporting the EHRA staffing of the school.
