The Department of Radiation Oncology at Augusta University, in Augusta Georgia is recruiting a Full time faculty medical physicist. The applicant should be ABR certified or board eligible in Therapeutic Radiation Physics, and hold at least a PhD degree in Medical Physics or related fields. The successful candidates will be expected to provide medical physics service in the daily clinical operation, participate in residents and students education, and research in the Medical Physics division of the Department of Radiation Oncology.
Facility and Equipment:
The department of Radiation Oncology has four Varian linear accelerators two of which are equipped with cone beam CT (Varian Trilogy and 23IX), Edge stereotactic radiosurgery suite and Nucletron HDR unit. Simulation and treatment planning systems include a Philips large bore 4D CT-simulator, PET CT, and Varian Eclipse. Our information management system is Varian ARIA. A full range of radiation measurement equipment and specialized phantoms are available.
Required Education: Ph.D.; ABR certified or board eligible in Therapeutics Radiation Physics
