Advertised Job Summary: - Manage office operations and procedures; Receive and distribute daily mail; Prepare outgoing mailings; Inventory supplies; Submit work orders; Maintain Student Success Center website; Maintain calendar for Center rooms and spaces; Assist with event scheduling. - Provide welcoming reception to students, faculty and staff; Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, answer and direct phone calls, and prepare correspondence; Assist with scheduling tutoring appointments (Tutortrac). - Purchase program supplies; Order catering for events; Purchasing card holder for the department; Maintains current detailed budgetary records, including monthly expenditures and balances, for all budget and grant funds. Consults with program personnel regarding the availability of funds and preparation of funding requests. - Create, maintain and manage secure, confidential, detailed, and accurate academic student records; Update student lists for advisors; Work in the Banner system to gather/research student information: Clear registration holds; Assist students with registration and enrollment; Prepare and distribute appropriate advisement and registration materials to students; Compile and prepare various reports as requested. - Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student assistants. - Manages paper and online Human Resources functions necessary to hire full-time, dual, temporary, and student employees in the Center for Student Success, USC Upstate Testing Center and U101 areas.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 4 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 8 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency. Successful background check is required.
