Job Duties: The person in this position oversees the office staff in the Forensic Division. He/She will monitor the workflow at all times and ensure the professionalism of communications from the office. This individual is responsible for the work performed in the section that includes but is not limited to transcription and distribution of autopsy reports, completing and distributing supplemental, death and autopsy reports, filing, general office procedures, and other functions. This position will also work with District Attorney offices for scheduling testimony, arranging travel, and invoicing for medicolegal services. This person will oversee that organization and administrative support to the Medical Examiners, regional pathologists and teaching professors is done in an effective manner. He/She will see that work is completed in a timely matter. Reports must be accurate and as error free as possible. This individual will adhere to standards set forth by the department, university and state guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times. This position will supervise one fulltime staff position. CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center.  Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
