Job description

Duties: Manages design, implementation and evaluation of didactic and clinical program to train primary care NP and NMW students in provision of culturally and community-sensitive care for populations in underserved settings; recruits and mentors students enrolled in program; solicits and monitors clinical site placements for appropriate training; guides training and evaluation of preceptors in achievement of project goals. Serves as primary liaison with clinical partners and other key stakeholders. Develops data management system and ensures collection of all project related data and data for grant reporting requirements. Monitors budget and project-related expenditures; supervises staff. Works with the Project Director to ensure goals are met.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing and a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. An in-depth knowledge of advanced practice nursing education required. Prior primary care experience desired. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels in a fast paced environment using sound judgment and organizational savvy. Strong oral and written communication skills needed. Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently within the complexities of healthcare and higher education. Solid supervisory skills needed with the ability to build a collaborative work environment; must have effective workload management and conflict resolution skills. Results oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to problem solve in complex and sensitive situations, able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong PC related skills in MS Office, web and related database management. Prior teaching experience required.
