Position Summary: World View, a public service program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, whose mission is to equip K-12 and community college educators with global knowledge, best practices and resources to prepare students to engage in an interconnected and diverse world, seeks a collaborative and committed professional with experience in global education, program development/administration and international travel. The Associate Director is responsible for developing and executing professional development programs both on-site in Chapel Hill and off-site at colleges across the state. The Associate Director will work with North Carolina community colleges, North Carolina K-12 educators, UNC faculty and administrators, national resource centers at UNC and Duke, the North Carolina Community College System and global education leaders across the state and country to create programs and services that globalize North Carolina community colleges and schools. This position contributes to the daily operations of the department by working collaboratively with other World View staff to develop quality programming, to provide guidance to staff on policies and procedures, to contribute to grant proposals and any necessary UNC reporting documents. The Associate Director will also assist the Director in fundraising and other tasks assigned by the Director. This person specifically develops and implements strategies for recruiting new community college partners, engages current partners, and markets programs by traveling around the state giving presentations, consulting with global education committees, faculty and key administrations.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience required; advanced degree preferred.

Qualification and Experience: Must have an advanced understanding of global issues. Also prefer experience leading international study visits and conducting professional development or program administration. Experience needed in all aspects of communication. Outstanding public speaking/writing skills are essential.
