Master's degree in anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, or
Archaeological or architectural historian experience in Colorado, Plains, or Rocky Mountains.
Experience in reviewing and updating of Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plans (ICRMP), Programmatic Agreements (PAs), and Memorandums of Agreements (MOAs) for compliance.
Experience conducting consultation with culturally-affiliated Native American Tribes tribal, State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), and other interested stakeholders specific to Section 106 (not associated with AFI 90-2002).
Experience reviewing and analyzing project impacts on cultural resources, including implementation of the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation or appropriate mitigation measures.
Experience with keeping and updating project distribution lists for SHPO, consulting Native American Tribes, and other interested stakeholders.
Experience in supporting Native American Tribal relations meetings, including Installation Commander briefing and meeting presentations related to mission activities.
Experience with developing, managing, and organizing cultural resources data and associated files and maintain version control.
GIS experience, in particular the use of ArcGIS.
Archaeological or architectural historian experience relating to the inventory, evaluation, and documentation of military sites and buildings
This position is for Cultural Resources Program Coordinator for the Cheyenne Mountain AFS CRM Program, as well as support for the AFCEC Peterson Section IST CRM Programs at the following installations: FE Warren AFB, Peterson AFB; Schriever AFB; and USAFA. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal.
The position shall be located in Colorado Springs, CO. The main objective of this support is to assist with meeting requirements related to Section 106 of the NHPA. The person in this position is authorized to use a government computer and is authorized to use government vehicles, dependent upon installation guidance/restrictions. Only one travel event from the Colorado Springs area to either Buckley or F.E. Warren AFB will be required
Cheyenne Mountain AFS Support:
1. Review and analysis of project impacts on cultural resources, including implementation of the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation or appropriate mitigation measures (approximately 100 work order requests and five Environmental Assessments [EA]);
2. State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Section 106 consultations;
3. Coordination with culturally-affiliated Native American Tribes and other interested stakeholders (not associated with AFI 90-2002);
4. Keep updated project distribution lists for SHPO, consulting Native American Tribes, and other interested stakeholders; and
5. Develop, manage, and organize cultural resources data and associated files and maintain version control
Peterson Section IST Support (Cheyenne Mountain AFS; F.E. Warren AFB; Peterson AFB; Schriever AFB; and USAFA):
1. Assist with review and annual update of the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plans (ICRMPs, to include Cheyenne Mountain AFS);
2. Assist in development of procedural Programmatic Agreements (pPA), if required;
3. Review existing Programmatic Agreements (PA)/Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) for compliance;
