Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is accepting applications for the Director of Business Operations, Facilities Management. The Director of Business Operations will lead a team responsible for managing and directing the financial affairs and system support activities within the facilities management department.  Specific responsibilities include preparation of operating budgets, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, impact statements, forecasts, and revenue planning while communicating with the management team about financial information on a regular basis.  The Director of Business Operations coordinates with all operational areas in the department to provide business support, process automation, and financial planning in support of their business operations and related service strategies.  Additional responsibilities include providing support to contracting and financial agreements including construction, purchasing, leasing, and administration.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 7 years of experience in a financial, accounting, budgeting, auditing, or planning function with a minimum of 5 years supervising three or more personnel.  Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and CPA/CMA, experience in business operations within facilities or operations, and experience with university administrative systems, and supporting operations systems including ServiceNow, PMWeb, Archibus, OSIS, Cardinal, and Lenel.
