SR PROJECT MANAGER
Duties: The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units to support the school's mission and strategic plans. Manage resources, schedules, Financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. Manages all project phases of a project using the PMBOK as a standard. Based on these principles, the incumbent will be accountable for the development of project documentation to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices. There will be a need to make formal presentations to various audiences. Due to the nature of certain projects, there might be a need to provide support and direction after-hours. For the near-term, this position will be situated at the NBC campus (Kennett Square, PA), but eventually this role will be transitioned to the Philadelphia campus and ultimately will require travel to both Penn Vet campuses. Occasional lifting 25-50 lbs. With guidance from senior IT leadership, the Senior Project Manager will manage most projects on a day-to-day basis. In addition, the PM is expected to verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of four years of experience in related application or functional area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong workflow analysis, process integration and problem-solving skills is required. In addition, experience working with, process improvement and especially in financial and clinical software applications. Experience managing projects under one or more methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, etc.) is preferred
