Administrative Coordinator, Simulation Lab



I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

The George Washington University School of Nursing is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support their nursing simulation laboratories located in their Ashburn, VA campus. This position is for the day to day activities of the nursing simulation laboratories including scheduling of space; ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies; monitoring warranty information for simulators; obtaining quotes for new equipment; scheduling Sim Tech/Ops workload; and monitoring usage of lab areas at the School of Nursing and VSTC Campus.

Will also be responsible for assisting the Director with scheduling use of simulator areas by community members and other external stakeholders.

Will occasionally assist with set up of labs.

Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

This position will be based at GW's Virginia Science & Technology Campus but may periodically require travel to the Foggy Bottom campus located in Washington, DC.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with procurement of medical supplies/equipment is desired .

Experience working in healthcare, simulation, or higher education is preferred.

Experience with facility maintenance and scheduling is preferred.

Prior experience with expense reporting is preferred.

Healthcare experience and simulation experience preferred.

Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred.

Self-directed with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities on a daily basis.

Basic Microsoft office computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Power Point.
