Position Summary: University Development's purpose is to support the mission of the university by raising private resources from alumni, friends, and other constituents to enhance financial support for students, faculty, programs, and facilities. University Development provides leadership and centralized development services to the 30+ other development shops across campus, serving as a focal point for principal/major gifts, gift planning, annual giving efforts, prospect development, corporate and foundation relations, stewardship, and communications. Reporting to the Executive Director of Gift Planning, the Life Income and Tax Administrator is responsible for managing the day to day matters related to new and existing life income gifts; preparing all tax receipts; reporting; recording all new planned gifts for the entire University fundraising program including IRA rollover gifts and special receipts.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree

Qualification and Experience: Minimum of 2 - 3 years professional experience in related fields. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse environment. Understanding and awareness of program services, policies, office protocols, professional practices and applicable laws/regulations. Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality; strong organizational skills and time management skills. Ability to prioritize work amidst multiple demands and meet deadlines. Flexible, collaborative, yet able to work effectively with a high degree of independence. Demonstrated knowledge of such software/programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with planned giving software, Blackbaud or other donor management software a plus.
