Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Marketing
Nature of Work
The School of Business and Public Management (SBPM) of the College of Coastal Georgia is seeking applications for a faculty position in marketing. The successful candidate will have experience teaching across many areas of marketing; however, teaching experience in entrepreneurship and data-dependent courses is a plus. In addition, the long range plan of SBPM includes seeking AACSB accreditation. Publication will be expected. This is a tenure-track, 10 month academic year appointment. The position is contingent on funding. Summer teaching is optional.
The candidate will teach (12 hours per semester), advise students, and work within faculty governance. Publication will be expected. Several components of the College’s strategic plan are built around extensive student engagement. Teaching on both the Brunswick and Camden Center campus is expected. Ability to teach online is expected. Expected to teach both day and evening classes.
Minimum Qualifications and Training
The successful candidate will have earned the Ph.D. or the DBA degree from a regionally accredited college or university and must have a record of teaching excellence as seen in teaching evaluations. ABD candidates may also apply if it is expected that the degree will be awarded by the end of 2018.
Preferred Qualifications and Training
A PhD is preferred. Prior teaching experience or professional level and background in marketing is desired.
