Electrical Technology Instructor
Prepare and teach a variety of electrical subjects. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, and other department or College activities. Work with local industry partners, assist in recruitment of students, and refine curriculum to industry needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience at journey worker status OR an Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience required. Required to have a State of Nebraska Journeyman Electrician license. Experience in residential and commercial applications preferred. Teaching and/or training experience preferred. Hours and workdays would include predominantly evening and weekend classes at the new Construction Education Center (CEC). A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process. 232-day, 12-month contract. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. Hiring process includes a background check. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
