Duties: The Executive Assistant is responsible for performing non-standardized and varied administrative duties for the Vice President to relieve the executive of administrative and business detail. Incumbent provides high level support to the Vice President by managing the executive's time and priorities through meticulous calendar management, drafting and editing correspondence, and compiling research and background information on all priority issues and projects. Responsible for understanding the requirements of the Vice President and making determinations about which events, meetings, and correspondence, are appropriate for allocation of the executive's time. Takes a leadership role in planning special events for the division, often including external VIP stakeholders in the industry. Serves as liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and works expertly with all levels of the organization.

Also recruits and develops the administrative support staff for the division (two direct reports, and 10 dual reports), creating and implementing processes for optimum office workflow. Oversees administrative functions of the office including managing purchase orders for office and kitchen supplies, ensuring cost-effective and environmentally sustainable purchasing practices are employed in all instances.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, Master's preferred. Ability to respond to direction yet think strategically and work independently in a complex, deadline-driven environment. Proven supervisory skills, and interacts well across multiple levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to persuade and mobilize the right people into action
