Job description

Duties: Key responsibilities include coordination and support for the Modern Poetry (ModPo) MOOC community as well as oversight for the curricular development and facilitation of associated credit course. A key focal area for this position will on the use of pedagogical best practices in online learning and teaching. This position requires close collaboration not only with faculty and program staff in the content area, but also with the school design & production team. Additionally, this role will serve as course assistant for Kelly Writers House affiliated seminars and serve as a role model of excellence to other instructors in the program. The person in this role may have the opportunity to work with marketing and administrative leadership to help support the overall degree program and community of learners.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
Experience in higher education
Experience with best practices in instructional design and/or teaching in an online format
Prior use of LMS platforms such as Canvas and Coursera
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Kelly Writers House, creative writing, and Modern Poetry
Prior experience managing student coursework and feedback
Experience with tools and technologies for building community engagement in the online environment
Awareness of the production cycle for developing online multimedia content
Strength in building and maintaining a strong community of learning
