The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for purchasing a wide variety of products and services in a timely manner. This role will report to the Director of Supply Management and collaborate closely with the Supply Management Specialist. Products and services include medical supplies, shipping services, office supplies, computers, laptops, IT equipment, etc. Applies skills and expertise in specification development for printing requirements, related commodities and services.

Buyer responsibilities (50%)

    Purchases and negotiates with Adtalem preferred suppliers. Works to resolve payment issues with Adtalem Accounts Payable (AP) team and suppliers Support month-end Lawson Buyer activity and reporting Works with institution and business teams to drive procure to pay (P2P) process improvements Administers purchase orders in the Lawson system and is SME for Supply Management Office. Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for price reductions, rebates, discounts and process efficiencies. Leads the Managed Print Services (MPS) program for all Adtalem institutions and works closely with HP to maintain continuity of program.

Analytics responsibilities (50%)

    Analyzes Adtalem supplier spend data by-institution and by-category to identify opportunities to reduce discretionary spend. Utilizes the SpendHQ tool to analyze Adtalem spend data and develop recommendations for cost savings and optimize our supplier base. Lead RFP projects across Atalem institutions and businesses to identify preferred suppliers, understand business requirements, negotiate with suppliers and generate cost savings Drives Continuous Improvement by decreasing cycle time of requisition-to-purchase-order cycle, streamlining supplier ordering process, etc.

    Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of business experience, with a minimum of one year of buyer experience. Experience: negotiating with suppliers; supplier management; RFP experience; experience in higher education a plus, but not required. Analytical skills: experience working with large amounts of data, conducting analyses and making data driven recommendations. Project management: experience in managing projects with multiple businesses and getting the team to drive towards achieving common objectives. Lawson ERP experience is required, especially in a buyer role; MS Office software expertise, especially Excel and pivot tables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to collaborate with suppliers, finance, contract managers, campuses.
