THERAPEUTIC DAY PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR
Duties: The full time staff position will provide direct naturalistic behavioral instruction within play-based activities and naturally occurring routines to children (ages 3-5) enrolled in a therapeutic day preschool program. Participates in the program planning, client evaluations, treatment, review and program support activities. Collaborates with parents/families and provides ongoing training and support.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Mental & Behavioral Health, Education, Human Development or similar field along with 0-1 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Previous experience interacting with young children with psychiatric and developmental disabilities in educational or direct care settings is desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. He/She should be comfortable doing a variety of tasks, be able to balance multiple commitments, and be comfortable communicating to diverse audiences.
Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent upon funding.
