Job Duties: The Accountant Journey position applies for and maintains all appropriate tax filings related to solicitation licensing for all ECU foundations and the University. Other tasks and responsibilities include reviewing and approving daily receipts, disbursements and ID transfers, monthly reconciliations of accounts, monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, assisting with year-end audit requirements, preparing tax reports and forms, developing and implementing policies, and other projects. This position will prepare reconciliations between the gift records reporting system and the financial reporting of contributions. This position reports to the ECU Foundation Controller. This position will serve as backup for the investment reconciliations and endowment analyses. The position will be involved in the Fundriver software so that they can assist with the ongoing processing of the information that is needed to generate information for the departments regarding amounts available for scholarships. This process is key to providing information necessary to address the shortened timeline related to the FAFSA changes.
