Financial Aid Specialist-Central (Reg FT)

General Summary:
Primary responsibility for performing all steps of the Return of Title IV (R2T4) process for all students totally withdrawing from the College within the required time frame, including the calculation of post withdrawal disbursements and returning funds to the Common Origination and Disbursement Unit (COD) timely.

Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree required. One to two years of financial aid experience. Must be knowledgeable of regulations related to eligibility for all Title IV programs, specifically those related to the Return of Title IV process. Strong Customer Service Skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population. Financial Aid experience including knowledge of financial aid regulations and programs required. Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products and Financial Aid information systems. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague system preferred.

Job Duties:
1. Primary responsibility for performing all steps of the Return of Title IV process for all students totally withdrawing from the College within the required time frame, including the calculation of post withdrawal disbursements, review of "All F" and non-attendance reports and the preparation of Loan Exit Interviews where appropriate.
2. Together with the Executive Director of Financial, reviews Financial Aid business processes and ensures continuity across all campuses.
3. Serves as the back up to the Financial Aid Business Analyst in the performance of the daily import of Financial Aid information between the Department of Education and CCAC.
4. Provides Central Support to the Financial Aid departments on campuses in the areas of verification and loan processing during peak processing time.
5. Assists with the annual set up of the Financial Aid module as needed.
6. Attends all Financial Aid meetings and testing sessions.
7. Provides recommendations for business process improvements.
8. Assists the Executive Director and Financial Aid Business Analyst with the development of Financial Aid training materials.
9. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
