Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Candidates will be expected to teach 9 (nine) credit hours per semester including, but not limited to, directing, acting, and stage management. In addition, the successful candidate will direct one production for the department per academic year. The successful candidate will participate in academic advising, mentoring of majors, recruitment, committee work and service to the University. Continuous external creative/research activities in their field is expected.
Educational Requirements for the Position
MFA in Directing or Acting with documented skills as a theatre artist/teacher in both areas artistic practice (acting and directing). Professional directing and acting experience is preferred.
Experience Required for the Position
Candidates with professional experience and teaching experience will be given first consideration. Experience and/or training in Stage Management encouraged.
