Duties: Under broad managerial direction, directs the financial and administrative activities for the research division of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery including the McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, the Penn Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders, the Center for Research in FOP and Related Disorders, the Biedermann Lab for Orthopaedic Research, and the Human Motion Lab. Play a major role in providing financial, analytical and strategic development. Establish and monitor administrative policy and infrastructure. Enforce Department, University and Sponsor policies for compliance. Oversee human resource functions, including managing salaries of all University personnel, including faculty within the department. Oversee and direct grants management, A/P, IDC, procard, and petty cash functions. Provide leadership, professional development, and supervision to all administrative staff. Guide and provide advice to faculty, staff, post docs and students for appropriate decision making and problem solving. Responsible for all budgets and financial transactions within the Mckay Laboratories, along with the administration of all grant, gift, endowment, ADF and operating funds.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
