Job Description Summary

Learning Objectives:
Grow and develop customer service skills by providing the general public/local community support and services about Tri-C and admittance to the College.
To develop understanding of community needs and provide professional assistance in the success of new community members to the methods/processes of Tri-C.
To continue the development of relationships with new students, encouraging their success at Tri-C.
To further develop a professional work ethic while serving as the first level of contact with the community looking to Tri-C as their future.

Job Responsibilities

To support student success for selected sections of Math 0950. To provide student success information and connections to campus resources through weekly class visits and campus email. To encourage class study groups and assist study groups at P.A.S.S. Math, a social learning community for math support. To present math support information and outreach to 0900 level math classes. To provide assistance to peers in navigating campus services and enrollment processes at Tri-C. Other duties include: Gaining familiarity with campus operations, facilities, student services and My Tri-C Space; greet and assist students at key Student Services areas, conducting campus tours, and serving as host/hostesses at campus events and activities. Staff the information desk, P.A.S.S. Math and make class visits 10-15 hours per week and demonstrate a strong interest and enthusiasm for customer service.

Required Qualifications

*Have completed at least 6 credit hours at Tri-C;
*minimum GPA of 2.5;
*consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
*maintain satisfactory academic progress;
*adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
*successfully pass background check;
*Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends;
*must demonstrate outstanding customer service, reliability, effective leadership skills, and strong communication skills;
*provide support to students during peak periods:
*assist students with My Tri-C Space;
*provide campus tours;
*assist with on and off campus events such as open houses, NSO, college fairs, high school visits;
*must participate in leadership programs and attend student success workshops;
*other duties as assigned
