Duties: Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director, Donor Engagement will plan and implement an overall strategy of programs and events to involve, engage and steward prospective and current donors of the Morris Arboretum.

The Assistant Director, Donor Engagement will partner with Gift Officers and administrative staff to develop and implement cultivation strategies for top donors and establish standards and best practices.

The Assistant Director, Donor Engagement's work will allow for individualized, effective cultivation, and support the Gift Officers' efforts to penetrate the prospect pool comprehensively.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in donor cultivation event management is required. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software is required. Prior extensive use of Raiser's Edge and Atlas Databases (or equivalent) is required. Strong writing skills are preferred. Ability to work efficiently and calmly in high pressure situations is required. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines is required. Ability to juggle disparate responsibilities simultaneously is required. Superb organizational skills are required.
