Advertised Job Summary: The Office of Admissions at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken) invites applications for Regional Admissions Recruiter to represent the university to prospective out-of-state students, as well as their parents, and high school guidance counselors while operating within assigned region. This position will cover recruitment for Georgia and Florida and the person in this role must live in the assigned territory. The Regional Admissions Recruiter plays a key role in helping the Office of Admissions to recruit, admit, and enroll prospective students. The candidate is required to live within the primary market and preference will be given to candidates who reside in or are relocating to the primary market. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently from remote office location while also functioning as part of the larger USC Aiken Admissions team. Must provide exemplary customer service and display enthusiasm about the University. Extensive regional travel required. This position has a ten-month, temporary contract (August to June), 37.5 hours per week. Renewal position annually and may be expandable to year-round basis. Requires a Bachelor's degree. Preferred requirements include: strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to make a great first impression and "meet people well"; ability to provide excellent customer service. Knowledge of secondary and post-secondary school systems is desired. Experience in higher education, admissions, marketing, communications, and/or familiarity with USC Aiken is also preferred.
