Advertised Job Summary: Human Resources Coordinator for Academic Affairs. Works with the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs to insure the accurate and timely administration of Academic Affairs for USC Upstate. - Works closely with the Dean's offices to facilitate faculty searches and full-time, adjunct, dual, and summer hires. Coordinates and implements human resources actions of appointments, re-appointments, supplements, affiliates, retirements, leaves, sabbaticals, modified duties, assessment pay, endowments, summer administrative pay, etc. through the appropriate forms, systems, or processes to the USC Upstate Human Resources office. Utilizes USC Upstate office for guidance, guidelines and policy. - Supports the promotion and tenure processes through tracking and maintenance of related information. Supports the Provost and SVCAA in the promotion and tenure processes. Assists the Promotion and Tenure Committees by scheduling meetings and associated administrative functions to support the review and approval processes including notebook/record retention. Supports the Promotion & Tenure Committee to schedule and prepare for the Promotion and Tenure workshops. - Responsible for the maintenance and currency of faculty charts used to administer peer reviews, promotion and tenure, post-tenure reviews, reappointment of administrators, faculty members listed by rank and department, number of faculty per semester by rank, by department and Faculty Annual Administrative Reviews. - Coordinates Faculty Annual Administrative review processes and report information, as appropriate, to Faculty Welfare Committee, etc. - Plans and communicates with administrative assistants regarding Academic Affairs changes in forms, processes, and policies/procedures and leads staff training, as needed etc. Provides support to this group. - Maintain original transcripts for all degrees for faculty, full-time and adjunct). Works with departments to ensure compliance. - Assists with questions from campus and off-campus people; helps diffuse problems with student/faculty and serves as the backup for Executive Assistant to Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for scheduling appointments, meetings, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. Successful background check is required.
