Job description

Duties: Formulate and conduct experiments related to understanding the cellular mechanisms that orchestrate epidermal homeostasis and cutaneous tumor progression. The qualified applicant will perform complex cell culture/ tissue preparation, genetic engineering of primary human cells, tissue processing, microscopy, and mouse surgery. Direct several concurrent investigations. Establish an advanced CRISPR-gene editing protocol. Advise and provide experimental and technical guidance to students and post docs. Candidate must have experience with cellular and molecular biology experiments including cell culture maintenance, transfection, infection, western analysis, DNA and RNA extractions, PCR, and quantitative PCR. The candidate will also manage day-to-day lab operations, including training and managing junior scientists. Must maintain meticulous records and assist in the preparation of manuscripts for publication.

Qualifications: Master's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Experience with cell culture is required. Previous experience with mouse xenografting and 3-D organotypic cell culture is preferred.
