Job Duties: The Instructional Consultant will work within the Office of Clinical Experiences and Alternative Licensure (OCE/AL) with the Executive Director of Educator Preparation and the Lead Coordinator of OCE/AL to perform duties outlined below: - Conduct Internship I seminars for candidates; - Conduct Internship Application Meetings and Undergraduate Add On Meetings - Facilitate practica placements for candidates in all teacher education programs at the undergraduate level; - Facilitate and record required documentation for the Early Release process for senior interns; - Serve as a liaison to counties in the LCSN; - Conduct orientation sessions for untrained clinical teachers and assist with annual Clinical Teacher training - Work in TaskStream am other programs to monitor submissions of required documentation; - Oversee the bi-annual production of the LCSN Newsletter and assist with the bi-annual OCE/AL Newsletter - Coordinate efforts for co-teaching trainings for clinical teachers and selected intern candidates - Compile and track data and other documents for reporting - Serve on the LCSN Advisory Board; - Supervise interns in area of licensure if needed; - Perform duties associated with Alternative Licensure and; - Other duties as assigned by the Dean, Executive Director of Educator Preparation, and/or the Lead Coordinator of OCE/AL. This position does all of our field/clinical placements, including student teacher placements for all teacher education candidates in five colleges across campus. Producing more and better teachers is both an ECU Tomorrow and UNC Tomorrow high priority.
