Position Summary: The Web Content Manager will provide management and support for the development and maintenance of the Universitya€™s web presence, including design, content, marketing effectiveness, and overall utility. Ensuring the effective application of the University's internal and external communication branding strategies to the web, the successful individual will be an integral partner in the success of the marketing and communication efforts at GSU. In collaboration with the marketing team, the Web Content Manager will also help develop and implement web marketing strategies and campaigns to support GSUa€™s enrollment goals and further support multiple constituent group projects through various digital channels. Essential Responsibilities: Design and maintain GSU website and its interactive deliverables; create compelling web experiences including ongoing refinement of navigation, information architecture, and visual design. Develops standards and style for design capabilities to ensure a high level of design and coding efficiency consistent with current standards and trends. Serves as main client contact and interface regarding web and digital design issues; represent marketing department in meetings with clients; provide input in determining project scope; define design parameters of the project. Creates user workflows; provides on-going support to faculty and departmental content owners, including the provision of technical training to groups, authoring user-manuals, style guides and templates to maintain service quality cohesion. Conducts research and analysis on a continual basis to improve the usability, accessibility, functionality, and interface design of all external and internal websites. Organize, maintain and archive working files from assigned projects; input job specifications into print database. Prioritize requests, communicate regularly with stakeholders, meet expected milestones and ensure quality implementation. Perform other duties as assigned by the direct report.

Minimum Qualifications: Competencies a€¢ Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems, Ektron is a plus a€¢ Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite, including Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator a€¢ Proficient visual, graphic and website design skills a€¢ Excellent writing and editing background with experience creating media content a€¢ Strong project management and organization skills a€¢ Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced environment a€¢ Customer support background a plus a€¢ Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing a€¢ Fosters strong collaboration within department and across the agency a€¢ Able to juggle resources effectively a€¢ Oversees projects, giving clear direction and guidance, to ensure quality work is completed within timeframe a€¢ Takes ownership of problems and responds appropriately to changing situations a€¢ Trouble-shooter, problem solver a€“ thinks ahead and manages proactively against potential problems a€¢ Able to energize and galvanize team in stressful or problematic situations to result in a positive outcome TECHNICAL SKILLS a€¢ Skilled in layout, typography, color, balance and composition a€¢ Strong eye for detail a€¢ Works accurately and quickly a€¢ Expert level skills in Adobe CSS, Dreamweaver a€¢ Strong knowledge of HTML, HTML5, and CSS a€¢ Working knowledge of Javascript and JQuery a€¢ Basic digital design/production a€¢ Understands various graphic formats for print and web a€¢ Familiarity with production requirements for online communication such as technical knowledge of the software used, familiarity of back-end development and roles back-end developers play within the production process, and vendors.
