The Institute for Trauma Recovery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking for a statistician, at or above the master's degree level, to work in a collaborative team of investigators and perform statistical analyses to gain new discoveries to help trauma survivors. The primary focus of the position will be to assist with analyses of diverse longitudinal data collected as part of the ~$35 million dollar AURORA study. This study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and private and foundation partners, is enrolling individuals presenting to a large network of emergency departments in the immediate aftermath of trauma. Study participants are followed longitudinally for one year, beginning in the hours after trauma, using sophisticated adaptive sampling methods and a state-of-the-art battery of self-report, neurocognitive, physiologic, digital phenotype, psychophysical, neuroimaging, and genomic markers. Education Requirements: Applicants should have a master's degree in statistics or higher.

Qualification and Experience: Ideal candidates would have experience with the Mplus or R software packages; and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Prior experience performing structural equation modeling is preferred, as is experience in clinical or epidemiological research.
