Teaching duties will consist of Phlebotomy and Medical Terminology courses at the community college level. The successful candidate, as part of his/her job responsibilities, will commit to a professional development and training program provided by the college. This position requires a strong commitment to student learning as well as the use of technology to improve and expand student learning. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain on-line classes, demonstrate successful curriculum development, and demonstrate computer expertise.

Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required; Masters in a Health Science or related field preferred; Minimum of 3 years full-time experience in an accredited laboratory; Phlebotomy teaching experience preferably in a NAACLS-approved phlebotomy program required; Teaching medical terminology at the college level also preferred.

Must have current American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) U.S. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or hold certification in phlebotomy. Experience with student recruitment a plus.
