Medical Assistant Instructor (Tenure-Track Faculty)
Teach Medical Assistant Courses:
Bachelor's degree in a Health Science discipline or related field required; Registered Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred; knowledge of course content, as evidenced by education and/or experience; education or experience in effective direction and evaluation of student learning and laboratory performance; preparation in educational theory and techniques; credentialed or eligible for national credentialing as medical assistant is desirable. Registered Nurse or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
Teaching duties will consist of courses from all levels of the Medical Assistant curriculum, including clinical laboratory procedures; law and ethics in healthcare; medical office administration; medical office finance systems; pharmacology; principles and application; medical assistant clinic procedures; medical assistant externship and seminars. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in working in programs that are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Medical Assisting Education Review Board.
This position requires a strong commitment to teaching and learning and diversity. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in teaching and interconnecting medical assistant theory and practical skills.

Minimum Starting Rate: High $40's
