Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey (AICUNJ)
Independent College Fund of New Jersey (ICFNJ)
The joint boards of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey and the Independent College Fund of New Jersey invite nominations, expressions of interest and applications for a new chief executive officer. The joint boards seek to advance the cause of independent higher education in New Jersey through advocacy, fundraising and collaboration with the leadership and support of the corporate community and the presidents of the 14 member colleges and universities, which serve collectively more than 65,000 students.
The economic impact of independent colleges and universities on the state of New Jersey is estimated at $3.5 billion annually with more than 18,000 employees. With a new governor taking office in 2018, the next president of AICUNJ/ICFNJ will also begin at a time of significant change in state government.
Both organizations are governed by a board of directors. In the case of AICUNJ, the board includes the 14 institutional presidents who are led by an executive committee of five persons. The ICFNJ Board includes the 14 presidents plus 55 corporate leaders from across the state of New Jersey. The president of AICUNJ/ICFNJ supports the work of both boards and is an ex officio director of each organization.
